God’s Word conveyed by Rev, Jacob B Sumbayak , from Matthew 26 : 36 – 47, It is said that Jesus was in The Garden of Gethsemane,  and pray. And after He Pray, Jesus is arrested.

Jesus came to earth, to atone for our sins, He knows there will be suffering that He faces, but He chooses to give Him Self, to be caught. He is able to ask Father in Heaven, to send more than twelve legions of angel to help Him. How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen this way?”Jesus fulfilled what was written in the scriptures

The suffering experienced by Jesus, 700 years ago the prophet Isaiah prophesied, before Jesus is born. It’s impossible anyone could predict, 700 years to come there is someone, that will be die in such suffering, except it is indeed a prophecy from the Father in Heaven.

From Isaiah 53: 1 – 6, Isaiah have seen the suffering of Jesus in such away, so we can read in Isaiah 53 : 2 He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him, Nor appearance that we would be attracted to Him.

A great suffering and misery experienced by Jesus, His body so shattered. During the night He suffered agony and beating by the Jews in the Synagogue and the next day, he was tortured by the romans soldiers until He died on the cross

His whole body became so damaged and destroyed He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.He is like a criminal and must be hung on a cross.

But He has borne our griefs, And He has carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we assumed that He was stricken, Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated But He was wounded for our transgressions.

We can mention whatever our rebellion and evil are, then Jesus will bear all.He was crushed for our wickedness the punishment for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes we are healed. [EM/EM]
