Jesus Came for Sinners
Who are we before God? Are we worthy to come before God? Because we are all sinners.
Romans 3:23, “ For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Is there anything we can be proud of before God? Are there any good deeds that can become our justification before God?
Isaiah 64: 6, “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.”
However, the Lord Jesus came to the world not looking for the righteous people, but sinners to repent. He is looking for the lost to return to Him.
Luke 5: 31-32, “Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins so that every sinner would not perish but might have life, because all the wages of sin have been paid in full with His blood.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Even though Your Sins Are Great, Jesus Has Paid It All With His Blood
Maybe we think that our sins are great. They are many, shameful, and bind us. We wonder whether God wants to forgive us. We feel unworthy. But that’s why Jesus was willing to die on the cross, to atone for our sins.
Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.“
That is forgiveness from the Lord Jesus. The Word of God says that even if our sins are red like scarlet, they will be white as snow. Maybe we say that it is difficult to get out of the bondage of sin because our bodies and souls are bound to sin and we cannot get out. We try to do good deeds, but we are still bound to sin and become slaves to sin.
Brothers and sisters, the only One who can deliver from the body of death and the sinful body is only Jesus. It can be done by believing that Jesus was crucified in our place.
Romans 6: 6, “…knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.”
When Jesus was crucified, we can have faith that our sinful body and our old man who always led us to sin, was also crucified with Jesus. So that the power of the body of sin is lost and we are freed from all the bondage of sin. Hid did it because He loved us so much. It was a redemptive work of Jesus that He was called the Savior.
This is the time for us to be freed from sin. This is the time for us to stop searching of the one who can save us and to stop from the bondage of sin that cannot be freed, with the death of Jesus on the cross.
We who believe in Jesus, are given the power to become the children of God, so that the Father in heaven becomes our Father. The Father always wants to give the best for us. He also wants to heal our sickness. Whatever our sicknesses are, God wants to heal us. Healing from God is a miracle that can only be received by faith. Therefore, believe in God and He will heal you.[yf/hn/em]
