Rev Jacob B. Sumbayak share the Word of God, taken from Mark 10: 46 – 52, Jesus, healed Bartimaeus 

When Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout and say, “Jesus, Son of David have mercy on me!” Many sternly rebuked him, telling him to keep still and be quiet; but he kept on shouting out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Son of David, which are called by Bartimeus is the Messiah promised by God according to prophecy of the prophets. The Messiah who is being awaited, by the Israelites at that time.

But when the Messiah came as a carpenter’s son, The Israelites didn’t believe, including Pharisees

But a blind beggar named Bartimaeus believe “, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” he kept on shouting by his faith.

This shouting, make Jesus Stopped, because Jesus know, there is someone who believes, called His Name. Bartimeus stand up and throwing his cloak aside, he jumped up and came to Jesus. An act of faith which is very extraordinary.

Jesus answer, Bartimeus’s faith.

When, he stood before Jesus, and Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni , let me regain my sight.”

Brother and Sisters, maybe we are currently suffering from an illness, maybe Covid19, for there is no cure, but if you believed and ask in faith through Jesus, you will be healed.

Jesus is the son of God

Why Jesus was able to heal? Because He is the God who was promised through the prophecies of the prophets. A thousand years before Jesus was born, Natan spoke to David, that God will raise up his descendant , God will appoint a person who will occupy his kingdom, and God, will establish the throne of His Kingdom forever. God will be his Father, and He shall be My son.

700 years before, the prophet Micah prophesied of the Lord Jesus, which in Bethlehem He will be born.

The prophet Isaiah also prophesied He would be born of a Virgin Mary.

Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies of the prophets. Jesus is indeed from Heaven. He is the son of God, Himself

Trust Him, we will get the biggest miracle, that is salvation, which is greater than miracle of healing. [mer/lyd]
