Beside sin and salvation that is included in redemption, sickness and healing, is the clearest thing rel ated with redemption of Jesus Christ. How do we know?

Mathew 8:17 said,”That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

The words of God in Mathew 8:17 said that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet.

What were the things that really happen  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet?

We can know what were the things that really happen  that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, by reading the story before verse 17 of Mathew 8. If we read the story above, it is the things that happen:

“And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.  And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick”.

So what had happened were Jesus healed the mother of Peter’s wife from her sick of fever and when the evening was come people brought unto Jesus many that were sich and Jesus healed all of them. On the basis of those healing events it was said that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet.

700 years before Jesus was born, prophet Esaias prophesied there would be a man who would do healing to our sickness and diseases dan it was fulfilled by Jesus, according to Mathew 8:17.

And then, Mathew 8:17 explained how the healing that was done by Jesus could happen; because Jesus become our substitute, as it was prophesied by prophet Isaias:” surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows.”

We can read it from Isaias 53:4

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

The words of God in Isaias 53:4 talked about Jesus as it was cited by Mathew 8:17.

From these words of God in Isaias 53:4, it was cleared that our healing can happen because Jesus had borne our sickness and diseases. Jesus carried our sorrows. Our sickness and diseases had been borne by him so that we need not to borne it anymore.

We need not borne our sickness and disease anymore because Jesus had borne it for us. In other words, Jesus had redeemed us from all sickness and all iniquities.

That was said regarding the relationship between healing with the redemption of Jesus Christ. When did this event happen? It happened when Jesus was crucified more or less 2000 years ago. Isaias 53 propheshied and described the event when Jesus was crucifed. [April,20,2020 – RB/EM]
