Praise and Divine Healing Crusade was held again online through live-stream program on Facebook and YouTube on Thursday, April 16, 2020. The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak. It was taken from Mark 5: 25-34 about the faith of a bleeding woman.
Faith is an extraordinary thing. It is something that God longs for us to have because only by faith we can come to God. Our faith is powerful, so God says if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains (Matthew 17:10). God is interested in our faith, not our knowledge. The blind beggar, Bartimaeus, believed that Jesus was the Son of David, the promised Messiah, while the Pharisees who might have been knowledgeable for decades of learning, remained unbelieving and unbelieving that Jesus was the Messiah.
Your Faith Saves You
Oftentimes the Lord Jesus said to those who have been healed, “Your faith has saved you.” He said to a sinful woman who anointed the feet of God and to a leper who was healed and came back to Jesus, the same thing, “Your faith has saved you.”
The Word of God in Mark 5: 25-34 tells us that the condition of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years was already severe, and the money had been used up to go to the physician. She had fallen into poverty and her physical condition was getting worse. This woman had heard about the Lord Jesus and believed the Lord Jesus was able to help her. This attitude of faith was shown by her actions breaking into the crowd, saying, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed (NIV).” These are the words of faith.
Therefore, when the woman approached Jesus from behind and touched His robe, immediately the bleeding stopped and her body suddenly recovered from her bleeding. Jesus knew that power had gone out from Him., He turned in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?”
Then the woman fell before Jesus and sincerely told him everything. Then He said to the woman, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
Salvation and Healing
This woman received salvation for her soul and healing for her body because she believed in Jesus. According to the Word of God in John 3:16, “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)” The blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross has become a way of salvation for us. No matter how big our sins are, no matter how red our sins are, Jesus is able to cleanse us as white as snow. Will you believe in Jesus? Whoever believes in Him will be saved and healed. [yan/lyd]
