The online KPPI (Divine Healing Praise Service) was held again on Thursday, July 9, 2020 through a live streaming program on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak, taken from Matthew 15: 32-39 about Jesus Feeding four thousand people.

Jesus the Son of God, He has the Power to Do All Miracles

At that time Jesus was with the disciples followed by thousands of people for 3 days, and Jesus’ heart was moved by compassion. He really loved and thought about the crowd. Jesus knew that they had been following Him for 3 days, and they certainly had no more food. Jesus did not want to send them home hungry, so they would not faint on the road.

His disciples said to Him, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?” Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?”

In fact this happening was the second one where previously the Lord Jesus had performed the same multiplication miracle by feeding 5,000 people. The disciples must have known because there was an experience of seeing Jesus performed miracles to feed 5,000 people, so they answered, “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”

Then Jesus told the crowd to sit on the ground. After that He took the seven loaves and fish, gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples, and His disciples gave them to the people too.

Then what happened? Matthew 15: 37-38 tells us that from the 7 loaves and several small fish they all ate until they were full. Then they gathered seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left. Those who ate at the time were four thousand men, not including women and children.

Let us count, if it is assumed that one man brought one wife and one child, then the total number was around 12,000 people. Out of 7 loaves and several small fish Jesus could feed 12,000 people. It was an amazing multiplication miracle that make something from nothing. Jesus could do it. This kind of miracle was recorded twice in the Bible, and it was the second miracle that Jesus fed about 12,000 people and they were full.

In addition to the miracle of multiplying bread and fish, Jesus also performed an amazing miracle of raising the dead. If a person is dead, there is no oxygen for 4-6 minutes, then the brain will be permanently damaged. So even if we returned back to life, the brain will still be damaged. But Jesus was amazing, He raised Lazarus who was dead for 4 days and he recovered as he was before. This is an extraordinary miracle. The Bible records three times that Jesus performed miracles of raising the dead.

Why is that? It is because Jesus is the Son of God. He is God himself who came down to the world to become a human. He was willing to die on the cross because he loved us and atoned for our sins so we could be saved. He is Jesus, the powerful Son of God. He raised the dead, calmed the storm with just two words, “Peace, be still,” walked on water, multiplying 7 loaves and several fish for thousands of people. Only Jesus Christ can do it, because He is the Son of God, the Savior, the promised Messiah.

The Word of God in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV)

Because of His love, Jesus paid the debts of our sins, so that we have eternal life. Nobody can pay for our sins. To be honest, we can only add our sins, but we cannot pay our sins. We always do evil and sin. Even though we want to pay for it, we keep on sinning and we cannot pay our debts of sin, unless Jesus redeemed us. How great is Jesus’ love for us. He wants to die for us, even when we are still sinners.

Will you come to Jesus and say, “Lord, I am a sinner, I have always sinned, please forgive me, cleanse me with Your holy blood.” If you are tired of seeking forgiveness, believe that Jesus loves you, and died on the cross to redeem your sins.

For those of you who now believe in Jesus, you are given the power to become children of God. According to God’s Word in John 1:12, God in heaven becomes our Father. Welcome to the family of the Kingdom of Heaven, we are brothers and sisters in God.

Jesus the Son of God, He has the Power to Heal All Sicknesses

Matthew 15: 29-31 tells the crowds flocking to Jesus bringing the lame, the blind, the mute and many others, then laying them at Jesus’ feet and He healed them all. So the people were amazed to see the mute spoke, the lame and walked, the blind saw, and they glorified the God of Israel.

Tonight Jesus can perform the same miracle for you and also for your sick family. According to the Word of God in Isaiah 53: 5, “By His stripes we are healed,” lay your hands on the affected part, if you have heart disease or Covid-19, lay your hands on your chest. If you have a headache or have a mental problem, put your hands on your head. If you are blind, put your hand in your eyes. Whatever diseases you have, have faith, tonight is a moment when Jesus is able to heal you. [YF/EM]
