Desama Hia comes from Gomo sub district – South Nias district which is located on the island of Nias, North Sumatra province.
In 2014, he moved to Tebing Tinggi – North Sumatra province to continue his education.
On Saturday afternoon in July 2017, a car at high speed crashed into the motorcycle that Desama and his friend were riding which knocked Desama off the motorcycle. His body was lying on the asphalt road. He was unconscious. His friend immediately took him to the hospital in Pon village, Tebing Tinggi and told Desama’s sister about the accident.
Desama was treated in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for one week in a very critical condition and was unconscious. He had vomited as an indicator that he had concussion. Doctors cleaned and treated wounds on his left and right knees and elbows on his left hand. The torn on his left forehead, the upper lip and the edge of his left eye required stitches. Totally there were 35 stitches. He got a few loose lower teeth and his upper gum was pushed back. He often struggled without realizing it, so that his hands and feet had to be tied by medical personnel.
After 3 weeks of being hospitalized, his sister asked permission from the doctor to take him home. The doctor allowed it, even though his condition has not fully recovered.
At home, his head still felt dizzy. He he still can’t remember anything and he spoke words that he didn’t understand. He often ran away from home so he had to be guarded and watched. This went on for 2 months since the accident happened. His family feel pity and worry about Desama’s condition. They prayed that Desama’s memory would recover.
After his memory recovered in November 2017, he began to suffer an unbearable pain at the back of his head. When the pain came, he would scream and bump his head against the wall. He tried to dip his head into the bath filled with water or put his head down. However, all the effort he put did not make the pain go away. In his hopelessness, he had thought about ending his life.
He could only cry and pray for God’s help.
In July 2019, he moved to Jakarta and began studying at STT IKSM Santosa Asih in East Jakarta.
One day, 2 servants of God from KPPI team came to STT IKSM Santosa Asih to give the KPPI invitation to Mr Enos (head of the dorm). He allowed all students to take part in KPPI events.
On November 21, 2019, together with 70 students of STT IKSM Santosa Asih, he came to KPPI with the pain in his back head.
When all the sick people were called to step forward to be prayed, he move to step forward. He was prayed for. Praise the Lord ! Miracles happened ! Suddenly, the pain in his back head disappeared completely.
To this day, he is still healed. Hallelujah !
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise (Jeremiah 17 : 14 – KJV)
