God never changes. His love and power are always there for everyone who put their hope in Him.
He showed again His great mercy in Praise and Divine Healing Service (KPPI) that was held on August 24, 2017, at Adventist Building, Jl. MT Haryono Kav 4-5, Pancoran, South Jakarta.
This crusade has been held since 1993 and always brings the same message that Jesus loves and cares so much for His people. His sacrifice become a way for deliverance, healing and salvation to whom that put their faith in Him. People with many needs and hope for a miracle had come from all over Jakarta, Bekasi, Depok and Tangerang.
Rev. Emy Lidya Trimahanani opened the service in a prayer and leading all congregations to praise and worship the Lord joyfully. Everyone looked happy enjoying the joyful praise of God’s goodness.
A film of healing testimony was presented about a lady, Kusiyah Ningsih, from Pontianak, West Kalimantan. She suffered severe headache, caused by an accident. She felt very painful and often fainted. She had gone to many doctors for her healing. She always prayed and put her hope in Jesus to get healed, even through fasting. And God heard her prayer. She came to the event of Pray for Pontianak, July 7, 2017 and was prayed there. God answered her faith. She got healed completely. All her pain had gone. Praise the Lord.
The film had strengthened all who watched it. Afterwards, Rev. Michico Serafim led all congregation to read loudly the Rome 10:12-13 (ASV) “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same [Lord] is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him: for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
Nothing is impossible to whom thàt put their faith in Him. Looking for Him and His face is what we should do. He is God of mercies and love.
Then another film was presented, began with a short sermon from the previous crusade. It was taken from Luke 11 . Often times we interpreted this verse as asking for blessings in this world. But God doesn’t want us to ask those blessings. Things about eating and drinking are sought by them who don’t know God. Seek spiritual things that are with the Lord. How should we ask? Persistently and with no shame. Seek first His Kingdom and righteousness, Seek God first and you will get Him. Ask God to know the secret of His great love that made Him died for us.
The film continued with a healing story of a child, Felicia, who was paralyzed since she was 6 months old. The medical checkup showed that her brain was abnormal and affected her growing up. Her mother got an invitation brochure of KPPI when Felicia was hospitalized. Her mother brought her to attend KPPI regularly from 2013. A miracle then happened. In May 2017 her daughter started to walk and day by day she was getting better and normal. She was no longer paralyzed. God healed her miraculously.
Rev. Jacob Sumbayak stepped forward and led a prayer. It is true that God is so close, He is just as near as our faith. We don’t need to reach out from the deep sea but He is very close. God is real and is in control. He is more than the air even anything that we see. Let us believe in Him and He will do something. Put our hope persistently in Him and He will answer our prayers.
The Word of God was taken from John 5:1-9 (ASV) After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the sheep [gate] a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered, [waiting for the moving of the water.] [for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the waters stepped in was made whole, with whatsoever disease he was holden.] And a certain man was there, who had been thirty and eight years in his infirmity. When Jesus saw him lying, and knew that he had been now a long time [in that case], he saith unto him, Wouldest thou be made whole? The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Arise, take up thy bed, and walk. And straightway the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked. Now it was the sabbath on that day.
This is a story of a man that was already 38 years paralyzed. Anything could happen during this period. This length of time was enough to make him impatient. We also didn’t know how about his family. Then this man had to deal with his sickness alone. However, this man was persistent. He still laid beside the pool. Every time the pool was wavering he tried to move and get there the first. He could be move a bit nearer and closer. He never gave up his faith. He never blamed anyone, even his wife, his children, his parents. He never thought negatively that his loved ones had forgotten him. He didn’t blame anyone.
That is why Jesus only came to this man. It is because Father in heaven knew exactly that this man never gave up his faith and never blamed anyone. God knew his persistence. He persistently knocked and had his faith.
That is why Jesus came to him and said, “Arise. Take up your bed.” At that moment he rose up and healed totally. Jesus had come to this man only and gave him what he had wanted.
Trust the Lord and He will surely do something. He is real, more than the air we breathe.
John 6:35, 38-40 (ASV) Jesus said unto them. I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
For I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jesus is able to raise us up at the last day because He js Lord.
An invitation to believe in Jesus was given to all congregations. Almost all stood up. Trust Him with all your heart and He will do something and give you what you desire. Seek the Lord persistently and no shame. Everyone said a prayer to ask forgiveness for all sins and decision to receive Jesus as God and Saviour
Susan Sumbayak came forward and called any lady who has been sick for more than 10 years. A lady came forward and told that she got swollen heart for 11 years. She was asked to have faith before prayed.
Meanwhile, all counselors were called to move forward and ready to pray for the sick.
Another lady had one leg shorter than the other and always felt painful when walking.
Another call was directed to anyone who had problems on their nose. A young man came up and was prayed. There were two other women also came up with the same problems.
Susan prayed for the lady with a swollen heart and asked her to run.
All the sick people were called to come forward. A song of worship was sung about God whose love and faithfulness never changes. A woman who came with sickness was healed.
Rev. Daniel Judah Sumbayak, Rev. Joseph Batubara, and Rev. Judah Pakasi led the healing prayer. Then all counselors approached every sick person and prayed for each one of them.
Everyone was praying wholeheartedly.
Tuhan terus bekerja juga ketika semua yang sakit diminta maju ke depan dan didoakan bersama-sama, maka kesembuhan demi kesembuhan pun terjadi. Mereka yang telah disembuhkan kemudian naik ke atas panggung untuk menyaksikan kesembuhan mereka.
Rev. Andreas Jimmy , Rev. Rulofin Handayani and Rev. Lukas Oey interviewed them who got healing miracles and then testified each miracle to the congregations.
A lady suffered gout for 3 years and caused her difficult to squat was healed. A lady who got problem with his leg since 2013 was healed. A lady got lump in her womb for 30 years was healed. A lady had problems with her stomach for 3 years was healed. The lady with swollen heart for 10 years was healed. A lady got lump in her nose had gone. A lady had severe pain on her head for years was healed. A young woman suffered infection for 3 months cannot bend was healed. A lady with stiff leg was healed. A lady got waist problem and couldn’t squat was healed. A woman couldn’t squat for 2 months was healed. A young man with a knee problem for 2 months that caused the pain was healed. A lady was healed from stomach problem, gout waist problem. A lady suffered prolonged pain in her stomach was healed, A man came with weak left hand and leg was healed.
Rev. Timotius Fajar asked if anyone got touched by Jesus. They lifted up their hands and were invited to come forward to give their life to be used by God. The call was also for anyone who wants to be used by God. They were all prayed to be the tools God would use to bring the good news.
The service is interdenominational, regularly held by GPPI Pondok Daud Jakarta, and ended by a message that everyone should return back to his own church to become a blessing there.
