KPPI (Praise and Divine Healing Service) was held again online through live-stream program on Facebook and YouTube, on Thursday, May 14, 2020. The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak about the worries taken from the book of Matthew 6: 25-34.

Don’t Worry

People often worry about their lives and there are two things that people worry the most, namely what will they eat and what will they wear. Jesus knows the basic human concerns, these two things. However, if we worry, will it add our money or improve our health? Jesus teaches us not to worry and He teaches us by exemplifying two things, namely birds in the air and lilies in the field.

Birds do not work, have no savings, no achievements, but birds still chirp and happy. Father in Heaven feeds birds in the air and even one small bird is noticed by God, moreover we are more valuable than birds, surely our Father in heaven will take care of us.

Lilies just grow in the fields, no one is paying attention, but even so, the lilies are noticed by God. Often, we dress up well to make it look good so it can be noticed. No lilies see, even as grass, the flowers will wither, but when the flowers bloom, they will be beautiful. God really cares about these lilies Even King Solomon was said not to dress as beautiful as one of the flowers. A very rich king like Solomon, in all his splendour, no more beautiful clothes like that flower.

So, just one flower is worth more than Solomon’s splendour, let alone us, surely, we are noticed by God, the creator of heaven and earth. But first believe in God who created the heavens, the earth, birds and flowers. Do not say, we can get something first or get well first before we believe. We must believe in God first. Will we believe in God who created everything, will we believe in Jesus first?

The Word of God in John 3: 16 says: “Because God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life.” Jesus gave God to the world; Jesus came from heaven to redeem us. Jesus was punished, wounded, bruised, and died on the cross so we could be saved.

Will we believe in Jesus? In today’s condition we may lack of food, no work, suffer from sickness. However, believe in God so that God come into our hearts and save us.

Jesus Only Asks for Your Faith

All who receive Him are given the power to become children of God, those who believe in His name (John 1:12). According to the Word of God, maybe we are sick, but believe in Jesus, He will heal you.

John 5: 5-9 tells of a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw the man lying there and because he knew that he had been in that state for a long time, he said to him, “Will you be healed?” The sick man answered him, “Lord, no one will bring me down into the pool when the water begins to shake, and while I go to the pool, someone else has gone before me.”

Jesus said to him: “Get up, lift up your bed and walk.” And at that very moment he recovered and he took up his bed and walked. The Lord Jesus knows who we are, He knows if we are sick and He also knows that we suffer. We might think who wants to help? Maybe people started to get bored, but Jesus has never been bored with us. He knows who we are. Jesus knows the person who has been sick for 38 years, Jesus also knows and is very fond of us.

Jesus is able to heal us, whatever our pain is, even Covid-19. Don’t say that God doesn’t know us, God knows our condition. If we want to believe, God will surely heal us, because the Word of God says that by the stripes we are healed. God only asks for our faith, as long as we believe in the Lord Jesus, we will definitely be healed. [YF/EM]
