The KPPI Online Service was held again on Monday, July 27, 2020 through the Live Streaming program on Facebook and YouTube.
The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak, taken from Matthew 9: 27-33 about Jesus heals the eyes of two blind men.
Be onto you according to your faith
When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” (Matthew 9:27) Why did they call Jesus Son of David? What does this mean? These words contain the trust and faith of these two blind men that Jesus is the Son of David. This means that Jesus is the One promised by God the Father through His prophets that from the descendants of the prophet David the Messiah will come. He is a King who will rule forever, who will come to redeem the sins of men.
These two blind men believed that Jesus is the Messiah promised by God the Father, who will redeem the sins of men and will reign as the King eternally.
It is impossible for a human being to redeem human’s sins, unless God Himself did it. It is impossible for a human being to rule as king forever, except God himself. So the Messiah will rule forever. Jesus is God himself who had been willing to come down to earth so that He could redeem us. He redeemed us not with things or some money, but by shedding His own blood and dying on the cross.
Isaiah 64: 6 (NKJV) says, “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.” How can we redeem our sin, while our righteousnesses are filthy rags. Only Jesus can redeem us, because He did not sin. Therefore He could redeem our sins. He is holy and without blemish.
Jesus said to the two blind men: ““Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. (Matthew 9: 28-30)
Brothers and sisters, will we do like these two blind men that believe in Jesus, that He is the Son of God who came down from Heaven to redeem our sins? He is the One promised by God to be the Savior of the world.
Everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but will have eternal life.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ”
You may have been struggling to know if your sins are forgiven, and who can guarantee your life? Jesus guarantees eternal life. Therefore we can have peace and a strong belief that we will be with Jesus in Heaven.
This is the time for us to believe in Him because Jesus is God Himself who came down from heaven. We will be delivered from all bondages of sin, Jesus will free us from the pressures of sin and we can live in holiness. Only in Jesus we can receive it.
Jesus has the Power to Cast out Demons and to Heal every Disease
For those who have prayed to receive Jesus as the Lord and Savior, welcome to the family of the Kingdom of Heaven. You have become the children of God and the Father in Heaven becomes our Father, a person who is very close to us.
If anyone of you is sick and longs for healing, believe that the Father in Heaven longs for all of you to be healed. Believe in the Father, and believe in Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son.
Matthew 9: 32-33 says, “As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”
This person was mute because he was possessed by the devil. But the demon was cast out by Jesus and the mute man could speak. What a great power that Jesus had. He was able to cast out demons, Jesus was also able to raise the dead, heal the sick, and stop the storm. Jesus was able to feed 5000 people with only 5 loaves and 2 fish.
Jesus Christ is still the same. He had done miracles in the past and today He is going to do miracles too. The Word of God in Hebrews 13: 8 says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forev. He is still willing to heal. Isaiah 53: 5 says that by His stripes we are healed.
Believe that Jesus is able to heal you, and receive healing from God, no matter what kind of disease that you have. [RS/EM]
