The Online Program of KPPI (Praise and Divine Healing Service) was held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. It was a live-streaming program that could be watched through Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B Sumbayak, taken from John 9: 1-12 about a man blind from birth.

A Man Born Blind Was Healed By Jesus For the Glory of God

There were some people who suffered from sicknesses because of sins, so that oftentimes when a sick person came to Jesus, He said that his sins had been forgiven, then that person was healed. However, this blind man was blind from birth, not because he sinned nor his parents had sinned, but so that the works of God be revealed in him.

The Word of God tells us that it was not this man who came and asked to be healed, but it was Jesus who came and told him to do something to get healing. Jesus trained this blind man to believe in Him.

It was not an easy thing for this man who was born blind to go to the Pool of Siloam without someone taking him there. But this blind man was willing to do it. He went there right away and didn’t delay. He washed and then came back seeing. It was that happened. He got healed even though at that time he had not known who Jesus was and where Jesus was.

Jesus Made Himself Known that He was the Son of Man

John 9: 35-38 (NIV) “Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.”

The blind man who had been healed was brought by the Pharisees and put on trial among them, was pressured, mocked, and then cast out. And this man met Jesus. So, after Jesus healed him, He came back and dealt with this blind man who had seen him now. Then Jesus said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” The Son of Man is identically the same as the Son of God. Jesus often called Himself the Son of Man, which is the same as the Son of God, that is, God who became man. Jesus humbled himself greatly and called Himself the Son of Man.

Hearing the words of Jesus, this blind man’s heart really got touched to see Jesus who healed him, and said, “Who is He, Lord? That I may believe in Him.” This is a question from a man whose heart is ready to fully believe in the Son of God. This blind man knew Jesus is talking about the love of God.

Then Jesus introduced Himself and said to him, “You see not only Him; but Him who is speaking to you, He is!” Jesus wants to say, “I am the Son of God, I am the Son of Man,” so that this person may believe in Him. Jesus wanted to say that He loved this blind man and came to save and heal him.

So this blind man said, “I believe, Lord!” He believed in Jesus who had healed him and loved him very much and performed miracles for him. Then this blind man worshiped Him. Jesus seldom made Himself known but especially to this blind man, Jesus made Himself known.

Whoever Believes in Him Should Not Perish, But Have Eternal Life

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Jesus loves us so much. He came to this world because He loves us. Whoever believes in Him will not be punished, will not go to hell, but will be saved to receive eternal life. We were all born in sin and we commit sin, so all men have sinned. Jesus knew that man cannot redeem himself, there must be a Saviour.

Therefore, Jesus was born into the world to save us. Jesus has carried up our sins on the cross, and He died on the cross so that we will not be condemned to die. He became the sacrifice that we can be saved.

Will you believe in Jesus? Today is a good time for us to accept Jesus as the Lord and Saviour.

All those who receive Him are given the power to become the children of God (John 1:12). God the Father in Heaven is our Father. The Father surely provides the best for His children. He wants to bless us and provide what we need.

If we are sick at this moment, whatever our sickness is, God wants to heal us. Healing from God is a miracle that can only be received by faith. God gives miracles of healing freely to those who believe in Him. [yf/hn/em]
