The Online Program of KPPI (Praise and Divine Healing Service) was held on Monday, July 11, 2022. It was a live-streaming program that could be watched on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. The Word of God was delivered by Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak, and taken from Luke 5:17–26 about the paralyzed man being healed.

Because of Faith, the Paralyzed Man is Forgiven and Healed

One day, while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and scribes were sitting listening to Him. They came from all the villages of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. So, Jesus was in a house, and many people came, not only ordinary people but also scribes and Pharisees. They had another purpose, namely to find fault with Jesus, but many ordinary people came to see God’s work. While Jesus was teaching, the power of God was with Jesus. The miracle happened. This made more and more people gather to see Jesus, so that the house was packed.

There were four people who were very determined because they dared to take a paralyzed man to the roof of the house where Jesus was teaching. What did they mean? They wanted to bring this paralyzed man right in front of Jesus. They believed Jesus was able to heal this paralyzed man. Because the house was packed, the four people carried him up to the roof. A desperate faith, from both the bearer and the lame. This is amazing. Luke 5:20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”

Jesus is not only able to heal, but Jesus is more than that. He can forgive our sins. Why is He able to do it? Because He is the Messiah whom God had promised through His prophets, thousands of years before the coming of Jesus. The Messiah who will free His people from sins.

The Messiah has come. He is the Son of God. No human being can forgive our sins. Jesus revealed His divinity by saying, “Your sins are forgiven.” Thus, He even declared before the scribes and Pharisees that He was the Messiah. But these spiritual leaders did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah.

Jesus has the Power to Forgive our Sins

Jesus is the Messiah. For Jesus, it was easy to heal the sick. It was not difficult for Jesus to heal the lame, the leper. It was not difficult for Jesus to go against the laws of nature. He was able to feed more than 5000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. But most importantly, that Jesus can forgive your sins and mine. Jesus is indeed the Son of God, the promised Messiah. He is able to forgive our sins. The price is Jesus’ sacrifice of Himself.

Will you believe that your sins can be forgiven by Jesus? It has to be God Himself who redeems us. We have no ability at all to redeem ourselves; the reward is surely death (Romans 6:23). However, because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16).

Will you believe in Jesus? This is the time for you to really believe in Him. Make the decision to believe in accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak then led in prayer to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Enjoy your new life in God. You have accepted Him, so you are called children of God (John 1:12).

By His stripes you have been healed

For those of you who are sick and want to be prayed for today, prepare your heart. You see how powerful Jesus was, and now Jesus is still in power. In the name of Jesus, there are miracles; in the name of Jesus, there is healing. So, you ask for what you want, ask, and pray.

Maybe you are sick, or maybe your child is sick. Or maybe your child has developmental delays or even autism. Or maybe you have a family member who is paralyzed or has any kind of illness that you can also pray for. Believe in God that in the name of Jesus there is a miracle.

1 Peter 2:24 “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Be what God’s Word says. Lay your hands on the part of the area that is sick. Raise your other hand to pray to God.

Then Rev. Jacob B. Sumbayak led the healing prayer. Praise God, and thanks be to God for the healing that He has given. [yf/em]
